Terms of Service

Welcome to StageWise. By accessing or using our theater production management platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using StageWise, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using StageWise on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Description of Service
StageWise is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform designed to help theater companies manage their productions, including:
- Production and show management
- Rehearsal scheduling and conflict tracking
- Cast and crew management
- Audition management
- Communication tools
- Budget tracking
- Digital playbill generation
3. Account Types
StageWise offers three types of accounts:
- Theater Company Accounts: Accounts for production managers, directors, and staff who manage productions (free during beta)
- Cast Member Accounts: Free accounts for performers to view their schedules, submit conflicts, and receive updates
- Parent Accounts: Free accounts for parents/guardians to monitor and manage their children's participation
4. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Providing accurate and complete information
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
5. Beta Testing & Future Pricing
StageWise is currently in beta testing. During the beta period, all features are available free of charge to all account types, including Theater Company accounts. No credit card is required.
When the beta period ends, Theater Company accounts will require a paid subscription. We will provide advance notice before any paid plans take effect. By continuing to use the service after the beta period, you agree to the applicable subscription terms at that time.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any illegal purpose
- Upload malicious code or attempt to compromise our systems
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
- Share your account credentials with others
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the service without permission
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
8. Your Content
You retain ownership of content you upload to StageWise (production data, notes, images, etc.). By uploading content, you grant us a license to store, display, and process that content as necessary to provide the service.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any content you upload and that it does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.
9. Intellectual Property
StageWise and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by StageWise and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the service.
10. Third-Party Services
StageWise may integrate with third-party services (payment processors, email providers, etc.). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
11. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice. We are not liable for any downtime or service interruptions.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR UNINTERRUPTED.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STAGEWISE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless StageWise and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.
15. Termination
You may cancel your account at any time through your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or for any other reason with notice. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.
16. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the service. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
